Occasionally teeth that remain buried in the jaw (impacted) may have a cyst (fluid filled sac) form around them. These cysts can remain painless and slowly enlarge, only becoming evident if they become infected. The treatment of cysts may involve removal along with removal of the associated tooth. Depending on the complexity of the case, it may be possible to perform the procedure under a local or a general anaesthetic. The removed cyst is sent for analysis under the microscope to confirm the exact nature and results are discussed on the review appointment.

If you are interested in scheduling an appointment with Mr Aakshay Gulati for cyst removal then contact us to book in to discuss this further.
